I am thinking about picking up a Weatherby Ultralight in 300 Weatherby Magnum and was curious if anyone thinks 3.75 inches of eye relief will be enough? Or should I go with new optics like a Minox with 4" of eye relief or a Leica with 3.94" ?
I ran an old weaver on a 1895m, 450 marlin, for a while which had a 3.25'' eye relief, never had a problem, but i was ready for each shot. I also havre a 375 H&H model 70 and have a VX3 1.5-5 on there with 3.7'' ER. Same thing, as long as your ready for it, you shouldnt filet your eye open. If you need a reason to get some new glass though, a new rifle is a perfect reason!
