Rifle Scopes Question regarding S&B 3-20 PM II US elevation turret

Anyone in here have experiences with this S&B elevation turret?

I have a quick question regarding it. It's a double turn turret with 35 mrad of travel. I zeroed it today and adjusted the turret back to "0". But now I can only max out at 19.2; it wont go any further up. Is this normal? Or did I break something? I read the manual but it didn't mention anything..

The scope base is 0MOA btw.

This is my first S&B with this turret. All my other S&Bs will max out on the elevation after being zeroed except for this one..

That spec is 35 Mill of total adjustment. If you need to have more of it usable then you need to get some incline in the base.

SR-25 with a S&B Ultra-Short. I like your style.

Quick and dirty: The optic is going to be (roughly) optically/mechanically centered with a 0 MOA base. That means you take that 35 MILs of travel and divide that by two. Essentially the "lower" portion of the travel is useless to you as-is.

So you have 17.5 MILs by default with a 0 MOA base, but remember that there is some leeway in the erector. Dial is marked for 35 MILs, but mechanically it will contain roughly +3 or so MILs.
