if i called remington , can they give me a production date of a rifle if i provide the serial number, the gun is a 700 adl , 270 caliber and the serial number starts with E with 7 numbers after the E, or if anybody might have a guess by the letter?

E date code: 1936 - 1954 - 1984 - 2010
Since Remington Model 700 was first manufactured in 1962 the safe bet is 1984 as Remington no longer produces the ADL line (replaced by SPS).
