Hey All,

Been a long time lurker here and finally joined a few days ago. I am looking to buy a USOptics SN-3 3.2-17X TPAL. Since this thing is uber expensive I figure I might as go all they way and spring for the H-25 and get it illuminated.

Are there any advantages between the green and red illumination? I've heard the green particularly in USOptics is a lot brighter than their red.

I am planning on mounting this on a larue tactical 50 BMG QD mount and swapping it between a Windrunner, AR-15, and Remington 700. Anyone have experience with this kind of setup?

As for usage on the Windrunner should I be springing for the extended eye relief? The Windrunner is chambered in 50 DTC (Cali and its retarded gunlaws...)

Hey, good luck on the Horus reticle thing.

I waited for 9 mos. the first time and a year before finally saying fuck it on the latest one.

Horus makes it difficult for USO to secure a reticle that will pass QC, especially if it is illuminated.

I have always found the green illum. to be offensive.

Honestly the red can be brighter than anyone needs.

Take a trip down there any check them out , if you can, they are nice I hear.

Eye relief depends if you have tradionally needed more, have you creeped and got bit ?

Haven't had a problem with getting bit by my scope in the past so I guess I'll be fine.

The woman over the phone told me she would call this week for an update on the horus reticle. I hope the situation has gotten better since your last scope; 9 months is a long time to wait.

The eye relif on my Windrunner has been fine.

Becky had no good news about Horus as of two weeks ago, this was for a 3.2-17 ERGO however.

I wish you luck.

Stay with Red Illumination; it is plenty bright.

I'm going on 6 months already for the MPR due to a mistake by the reticle maker, so I guess it ain't much better than waiting for a Horus, but Horus has always delayed USO shipments of scopes so no surprise there.

I've been there a few times already. Best to check with Becky or JBW III here before you go so they can be ready to take you on a little tour.

Don't bug Arnold though, I need him to QC my scope so he can get it out the door!!!

I'm so glad I asked now. Looks like red is definitely the way to go.
When my current project ends I am going to have to swing by to check out their operation. Now I have to start a thread to come up with a "reason" to go down to SoCal without the girlfriend getting suspicious.
Don't worry I'll leave the QA guys alone I don't want any bad scope karma when mine is being made.

Uh... Don't tell the girlfriend, or let the girlfriend see pictures of the USO girls. I have seen some of them on a couple of trips there already...
