quick detach installation

I have a tikka T3
where would be the best location on the stock to drill holes for quick detach sling swivels
tip of the stock .... how many inches from the end?
but of the stock ..... how many inches from the recoil pad?

this is for my triathlon sling

I would take look at McMillan and Manners for recommended hole locations.

Unfortunately I do not have my A4 available for measurements but my T2A flush cups are as follows. Keep in mind these are rough estimates with a tape measure.

From forend to center of front hole - 3 3/16th"
From end of stock excluding butt pad to center of hole - 1 1/4"
