quick ? on 20 moa base

does it matter where i mount the scope on the base. i got the egw extended 20 moa base and off my set up i like the scope a bit forward on it. does it matter at all or does the scope have to sit back all the way back at the rear of the base for the 20 moa to be in effect.

It doesn't matter where on the base the rings are. You'll want to position the scope so the eye relief is correct, i.e., you have a clear view of the scope from top to bottom and side to side, with no shadowing.

Having never had a 20 MOA Base until last year when I also got one from EGW, I had this very same question, so you're not alone in what you were thinking grunt soldier.
