I have a flat top upper with a Leupold Mark 4 mounted. I have a stock charging handle which because of the scope, is not working for me. Can anyone recommend a good solid charging handle with an oversized latch which I can upgrade my rifle. I am right handed

look in midway. i just did for my 308AR. there are a few new handles with really big oversized handles. also maybe an ambi catch on the handle would make it work for you. i just bought a new MEGA MA-10 and they come with a really nice charging handle, but with the scopes eyepeice right over the charge handle, its still a task to get to. im not a 3 gunner or in combat so its not a big deal but still, its hard to get to.

+1 on the Gunfighter and PRI GB, another alternative if you want to stay on the cheep is the PRI Big Latch which is fairly easy to install yourself on your own CH.
Didn't care much for the Badger Tac-latch, because I found it to hang up on my kit...sticks out too far IMO.
While I have Gas Busters on most of my guns, I'll be using the BCM on future builds.

I've got Gunfighters too, you really can't beat them, makes it comfortable to cycle the bolt with the charging handle prone from behind the gun.

Just one more "2nd" for everyone's comments on either the BCM or PRI GB charging handles. Both are excellent products and worth the investment. If you plan on suppressing your AR at any time in the future, I would advise you to get the PRI GB now so that you'll have it later.

If you just want to extend the latch for an easier reach, an inexpensive option is to buy just the latching mechanism.
Brownells sells the PRI 'Flat' latch which you can install on your stock handle and extend the reach.

The badger tac latch is on all of my charging handles. I am right handed and it makes it really easy to charge using the left hand without changing position.

Gas piston the BCM will do fine. Gas impingement go with the PRI GB. Also for 45 bucks if its gas impingement think about the POF roller cam. I changed mine to it with the PRI GB and I love it.
