Quick question (Grayboe + Impact)

Hey there,

Does anyone know if the Impact 737 action will fit in a Grayboe stock (specifically a Ridgeback)? I only ask because, although the Impact action uses a 700 footprint, it also has a trigger hanger, which prevents it from fitting in some other stocks and chassis I've tried (such as the KRG).

Thanks,
-SSS

They are super easy to open up.... easier than other stocks I have modified. Mine has lots of room around the trigger, but no personal experience with a trigger hanger. It seems like a very good stock, - but I wouldn't bother contacting them directly and asking. I tried that over a month ago (phone and e-mail) and never received a reply.

Yeah that's why I figured Id try my luck here. I couldnt ever get a hold of em'. But im glad to hear its an easy mod. Ive never owned a stock before, just chassis, so im new to this whole thing.

Any composite/fiberglass stocks are easy to work with. Grayboe, manners, and McMillan stocks are all equally easy to dremal and sand. Cheap plastic stocks are actually much harder to work with.

On their website the barrel channel dimensions seem pretty tight. Tight enough a m24 or MTU barrel should have no chance of fitting. Anyone have any pictures of those barrels in a ridgeback to see what kind of clearance they have?

Here is the diagram from their website showing dimensions:

They wont fit. Rem varmint is the largest. These stocks open as easily as Mcmillans and Manners. It would take just a few minutes to fit it yourself. I’ve done several grayboe, manners and Mcmillans.
