Just starting to reload. I will be reloading 223 for an AR bullets are 69g Sierra bthp. My question is does it
Need to be crimped and are there pros and cons of crimping

if you get a feed problem and you dont have a crimp your bullet can sink back into the case, not a big deal , just something to know.

I loaded a 69 grain SMK HPBT bullet in a LC case and found it to be a great shooting round, i used varget powder but cant remember how much without checking my notes. I never put any sort of crimp on them and did not have any issues with the bullets walking out out of the cases or pushing in. I would say load a few and see how your rifle likes them, hope this helps.
