Didn't find what I wanted in a search so,
What are you guys using in loading .300 blackout that tends to be quiet, low flash, and clean. Possible for all 3?
A quick burning powder is typically the quieter right?

When I lived in a country that didn't require permission to make suppressors, my quiet .300BLK load was:

200gr Lapua B416
14gr TAC
2.134" COAL

My .300 BO Load is a 240gr SMK HPBT on top of 11.8 grains of CFE Black...

Quiet enough? Keep in-mind that I'm inside a wooden building, so it does have some echo... But these subsonic handloads are really quiet in the open air with the Sandman-S. It would be even quieter when I finally get my stamp back for my Nomad-LT, and I get to run it on there. I'll definitely be doing a video comparison on it vs. the Sandman-S.

For a gas gun a 225grain Hornady bullet and some Accurate#9.

In my 9" SBR that's silly quiet.

Barrel length matters when it comes to picking the best powder for this job.

How many grains of accurate #9? Velocity?

I will need to look at my notes. It's 8 to 9ish grains. Back when I developed that load I didn't have a good chrono but I think it was around 1000fps.

I checked (after midnight when I got home) and I couldn't find my old notes yet. I am not sure where I placed them. I am definitely in the right ballpark with what I said above though.

FWIW This powder/bullet combo was listed in an old Hornady reloading manual (the 9th edition to be exact). The current edition is the 11th.

They have 7.5 grains listed as giving 1000fps but that is out of a much longer barrel than mine. I can't recall exactly but I know it was between 8 and 9 grains out of my 9" barrel. I think 8.3 grains...but I cannot confirm until I find my notes.

Maybe I missed it, but OP, are you shooting a gas gun or bolt? Makes a big difference in loads... As stated above, barrel length makes a difference too. More details will get you better results.

Bolt or break gun with a 90 or 100ish bullet over trail boss or red dot is very quiet. Groups are usually like what youd expect from a typical 22 at 50 yards give or take a little.

For quiet, I usually would skip the gasser. They are kinda quiet, but nothing like the bolt or break. Imr4227, Lil gun and similar all do well in the gasser with 200ish bullets and won't wake the whole neighborhood.

Quietest powder out of powders I had on hand was imr4227 the were all quiet out of the muzzle but 4227 seemed to gave the least amount of action pop, I ran 9.0 grains of 4227 with a 248gr hard cast bullet form noe

5 grains of unique under a 190 CC is by far the
Most quiet load in my bolt gun , twice as quiet as any 1680, lilgun,AA9,4227 load , but in an AR those work great, lilgun being my favorite

Difficult to make a semi auto quiet. For quiet, I built a bolt gun and load 220 MK or 240 MK with either Trail Boss or Tin Star powders. Those powders are difficult to find. Will buy all I can get if they become available.

I get quiet results with my Adams Arms 300-BLK ... suppressed with a SiCo Chimera-300 ... shooting 9.0gr of IMR4227 ... and 220gr SMK's. The only thing I hear, is the "click-chunk" of the trigger and the bold recycling. The only thing the Rock-Chuck hears ... is the bullet going through his ear.

6 grains of trailboss over a 150g bullet, aka, “the mouse fart”

My 10.5 300blk Rainier Ultramatch with 220smk and a Rugged Surge is stupid quiet and crazy accurate.

It's so quiet, I had a couple next to me while doing final accuracy testing at the range
..the wife ask me if I was shooting a nail gun. Haha.. her husband immediately corrected her and said no honey he's shooting a suppressed 22lr.

I told them I was actually shooting a suppressed 300blk with 220smk loads I worked up and was doing final accuracy testing and showed them the rounds. They were floored. I then asked them if they wanted to shoot it...hahah

The quietest Shot you will ever make out of 300 BLK, suppressed, is Boltaction, ( 4.4 grain N-320 ) capped with .30 cal.110 Grain Speer HP soft points . Sounds exactly like my suppressed rimfire boltaction.
