I have a Rem. 700 AAC .308 with a 20" threaded barrel.

Was a the range last week and had the opportunity to fire the same gun with a Surefire muzzle brake. Although it barely jumped, it was loud... very loud.

I'm looking for a brake that won't make shot louder. I know it won't make it quiet but there has to be better brake out there when it comes to maintaining the same volume.

Ya can't have yer cake and eat it too.

If you want to reduce noise, then you have to have a suppressor.

A brake only redirects the expanding gasses which create the noise.
