Sidearms & Scatterguns R4E ODS Glock sights now in stock at GlockStore

They look nice. A little steep in price for me though.
I hear ya, and I don't disagree... in my case, they're going on a new Lone Wolf slide and fit the bill for tall (suppressor) night sights. For the price, I don't think that I'd use them to replace an otherwise functional set of good sights.

They lost me at "good for racking and clearing one handed on clothes" and "designed by special forces veterans". That's usually the shit folks say when they sales makes up 90% of the product. Shit that hangs on clothes well enough to rack a slide with a 17lb. spring is shit that will hang on clothes during a draw, etc. Usually for carry, you want everything smoothed off as much as possible.

Personally, I'd rather have a set of Trijicons or XS Big Dots for a Glock carry piece and Meprolight adjustables for my G20 and G17L. All have tritium and all cost less, Mepros may cost about the same.

ODS sights received; initial inspection shows what appears to be decent machine work and finishing. Nothing too spectacular one way or another there. They do come with a front sight tool and an allen wrench for the set screw on the rear sight, so that's a plus.

Without mounting them to the slide I played around with them, taking them into a dark room, etc... So far, the pictures on the website have shown to be pretty fair representations of what I can see. They aren't as tall as I was expecting them to be (they're shorter than the adjustable Meps), but they're definitely taller than factory Glock sights. I don't think they'll be terribly intrusive for my use case, anyhow.

I'm looking forward to getting them mounted up... but it'll have to wait until I get my slide back from coating.
