R700 and TT diamonds-how to get them to work

    I made the mistake of thinking a Diamond will work in a remmy 700 and having issues of the trigger no resetting. It’s set at like 2lbs and researching that I can upgrade the shroud and firingpin assembly

    give me your input. It’s for a .223 trainer
     
    Why won't it work?
    I had a accidental discharge because it didn’t reset the firing pin and the sear engagement/friction is inconsistent
    I contacted Triggertech, they inform me diamonds are for 700 clones, not rem700s. And if I want it to work, I need a gun smith to time my bolt to the trigger.
     
    That's why I'm a Bix n Andy believer.

    TT hasn't worked well in any stock 700 I've tried.
    I have a special and it wont work unless it's well over 2lbs. Same thing on all 3 of my Remington 700s. So they told me to get this...

    You'd probably have to send it to LRI for a time and TIG job.
