I made the mistake of thinking a Diamond will work in a remmy 700 and having issues of the trigger no resetting. It’s set at like 2lbs and researching that I can upgrade the shroud and firingpin assembly

give me your input. It’s for a .223 trainer

    Why won't it work?
I had a accidental discharge because it didn’t reset the firing pin and the sear engagement/friction is inconsistent
I contacted Triggertech, they inform me diamonds are for 700 clones, not rem700s. And if I want it to work, I need a gun smith to time my bolt to the trigger.

    That's why I'm a Bix n Andy believer.

TT hasn't worked well in any stock 700 I've tried.
I have a special and it wont work unless it's well over 2lbs. Same thing on all 3 of my Remington 700s. So they told me to get this...

You'd probably have to send it to LRI for a time and TIG job.

I have a Geissele I might be willing out a trade deal on. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.
