Radioactive consequences?

Enriched uranium/plutonium underground is pretty safe. Its when it fissions in the atmosphere that becomes a problem. Plutonium and Uranium occur pretty naturally (yes Plutonium despite basic chemistry told you does occur in Nature).

Both decay via alpha which is fairly harmless (alpha is a Helium atom basically). Alpha particles generally can be stopped by paper.

For example in grad school, we had U and Pl sources in our building. We didn't talk about them because the public would go apeshit. But we used them a lot.

Nuc reactors are shielded because of the by products and being underground also shields the rest of us from most exposure. I wouldn't give it a thought.

Queue the DU conspiracy theory guys...

I wonder if there is any serious radiation leaking from any of the destruction in Iran? I haven't heard any mention of this

Iranians removed it a few days or possibly weeks ago

I think it's obvious this was a lesson, they thumbed their noses at Trump so he and the Israelis walk over there and blow stuff up with impunity

So our God knows how many tax dollars which could have been used for a lot of good blew, up some rocks. While my SS is going down the shitter.

Dog and pony show or not.

They’ll stop shooting at each other for a few years which will save us money

If they moved the material or not, as long as it goes somewhere not controlled by Iran who cares.

If we only destroyed the centrifuges it’s a win

Plus we’ll have real world data of how deep they go in that environment

If we actually did something great

If it was only a test bed of tech and battle plan great

Win win in my book
