Ramshot LRT & ELD X 270gn 338 Lapua

Have you tried this yet Lteberle?? Just got an 8# jug delivered yesterday so I'm going to try it in my 338 RPR. A lot of powder just to try for the first time, but a shooting buddy has an RPR too so we're splitting the jug. Not much information out there yet, and the powder's kind of rare. LGS said their distributor told them they hadn't gotten it approved for import yet. But it was available at Midway/Grafs so I don't know what his problem is. Going to give it a try in the next few days. The only thing I could find locally was H1000, but haven't been real impressed with it so far. But, I'm at the low end just starting too.
I have not yet. I was going to try to go out this weekend and give it a try. I loaded up some at 94.3 to start with.
I've tried some LRT with 300 gr hybrid target. Was just trying to see, if it wld work out. I usually use Ramshot Magnum. But, as for the LRT. It did seem promising. As I am still on teat phase with it. Between 97.0 grains to 100.0 grains, is where I think I found the area that I think will work for me. But still got to see.
Loaded up some for the 338LM and shot them yesterday. Found three nodes that look promising group-wise. Recoil seemed a bit sharper but still not uncontrollable. The projectiles were some Hornaday 285 grain ELDM's and Berger 300 OTM's. Still early but there is a promise. My go-to loads use H1000 and they are capable of sub-MOA when I do my part.
LRT is a bit on the slow side; even slower than RL33 I find. So while it’ll run fine in .338LM amd you’ll never hit pressure signs, you also won’t get anywhere near as much velocity as a better optimized powder like N565, N570, Retumbo, or H1000.
