Im in a need of a new range bag. Something to put my pistols, Ammo, ear plugs, glasses, data book, magazines, targets, staple gum, cleaning supplies, etc in. What do u guys like? I've been looking at the 5.11, but don't see too many other options that are nice

Re: Range Bag

Midway has theirs on sale on Monday. I just ordered one so I can't give you first hand experience yet, but they sure do get good ratings. For $35 + shipping it's hard to pass up, and I paid $40 to try and combine shipping with another order anyhow.

Re: Range Bag

Bought a couple of generic zipper top bags from Home Depot for $9.95 each a couple of years ago. A few pockets inside and a few less on the outside with carrying handles and a shoulder strap to boot. Works well if they still have someting similar.

Re: Range Bag

I can vouch for the Midway bag. It will hold more than I can comfortably carry. I'm always having to remember to take stuff out or I'll be lugging around a 50# range bag. Truly this thing is put together very well and has just a ton of room for about anything you could possibly want to stick in there.

Re: Range Bag

I have used alot of different range bags!!

I have moved to the Midway bag and love it!! The shoulder strap is mounted with some serious hardware that wont break like most others do.

Highly recommend it and for he price its a winner!

Re: Range Bag

i have found that camera bags do the same job and are much cheaper unless you wont to be a "brand boy" but ant nothing wrong with that

Re: Range Bag

Midway bag all the way, not the best there is, but it is the best for money it cost, when mine is wore out I'll replace it with another, that will be while though.

Re: Range Bag

I have never tried the Midway bag, but I love the Craftsman tool bags that come with the cordless drill / saw sets. They are built like tanks and you can get any size you want. I use a fairly large one that is divided down the center. Safety gear on one side, ammo on the other, even room for some pistols in there as well.

Something like this (I usually grab them from the bargain bin for $5-$10)

Re: Range Bag

My wife just bought me a SO Tech Mission Go-Bag and this will probably double as a range bag depending on the day. Until I'm home and put hands on it I can't say for sure but it appears that it'll do the job for my purposes.

It's an option, just not a cheap one.

I have a Dillon bag that is 12 years old and it looks like the day I got it and believe me, I used it a lot and loaded it up a lot, many mags, many pistols and pounds of ammo...

The bag they offer now is not the same that I have but I am sue it is built just as good...
