What paper targets do you guys mainly use at the range? I'll be shooting up to 300 yards at my local range. Ive been using ST-4 targets but wanted to get some recommendations. If you have any pics that would be great.
For the most part we only use paper if zeroing at 100 yrds. It is rare that we shoot inside 800...most of our shooting is done between 1000 and 1 mile. When we do shoot at paper it is a standard backer with some 1" stick on targets. We have steel every 100 yards and we paint it as needed to make it easy to see our hits.
My range uses 4'x4' OSB for backing boards. I bought a roll of brown paper that is in the painting section of Home Depot. I cut off a section, staple it on and place orange dots.
If only at 300 yds, you can print any of our targets free... 8.5x11 paper...
3 of the 20 we have done so far are here, the rest are on the CDROM that come with the Data Books, or I can email to you. The large diamond ones (4.2" yard target and 10cm on the Meter target) are good 300-400 YD/M.
