Re: Range Time with the New Stock.

what kind of bag is in the front and is that the blackhawk sniper rest on the bag, is it built in where can i get one thanks pat

Re: Range Time with the New Stock.

Thanks all! Yes, it's a Blackhawk bag...I think. I've had it for ~4 years now. The bag had the rest built in on top, so it's all one piece. I just put a few sandbags inside it.

The rifle is an IBA TPR in .308 and I just put the McMillan A4 stock on it recently (bought it from JW-Precision). The optics are a Leupold Mark IV, M3, 3.5 - 10x. Bolt knob done by AZ Precision...very happy with the new stock and bolt knob!

I can't remember! I've had if for several years and I looked on Blackhawk's website yesterday and couldn't find it. It's a great bag! It has the padded top with the padded "cradles" and a big zipper that you open to fill the bag with whatever you want, sandbags, clothing etc. I have some old canvas bags that were used for lead shot, that I filled with sand and inserted them into the bag. There is an inner "sack" that has a draw-cord closure to hold everything inside in place. Then it closes too with fas-tec(?) snap buckles and it can be attached to an LBV with the other two clips. Great system! Wonder if they still sell it, and if not, why?

Edit to add: I've looked just about everywhere on the web (google) and it looks like they don't make/sell this anymore, just the top part. Too bad, it's a great product!

Yeah, I'm going to take it out beyond 100yds soon to see if it still shoots, then I will most likely bed it anyway. Thanks for the compliment.

Re: Range Time with the New Stock.

Don't know yet...the paint is new, but I did notice that it has come off at the tip of the barrel and crown after only 60 rounds, but that's to be expected.
