Night Vision RangeFinder to Mount on Thermal

Hello trying not to spend more than $1000 -$1500 max for a rangefinder that i can mount on my Thermal optics for coyote hunting at night. Needs to have digital display so i can see it at night without holding it close to my eye would like to keep it mounted on Thermal. Something like Silencerco Weapons Radius Rangefinder, they don't make these no longer.

Yes, they are discontinued, but there has been a decently "brisk" trade in them. Check the PX section and search for Radius. They are still available.

IR Hunter MK3 60mm
Okay will do. I’m just surprised there is no other rangefinder under $2000.
 
Raptar also mountable on the trijion REAPs and PATROLs ...

There's a small Lion Gears riser in there ... and I mounted the patrol on a wilcox skeet mount (which are still separately available) for zeroing. Skeet mount not needed for REAP2s.

Here's the zeroing process I used in this case:

Olde ruger YUTE model .308WIN(18) (my "test" gun) ...
Skeet weapons mount which takes dove tail from the device
Patrol
Lion's gear rail on the patrol
Radius on the Lion's gear rail
Manfrotto M190 tripod
PIG saddle

RRS tripod
G-10 chassis
REM700 SPS tac aac-sd barreled action
Mk5 5-25x T3 scope
Night Optics Day/Night adapter

Zeroing Process


01 - Setup Ruger Yute model on tripod outside aimed at the mineral feeder ~ 415 yrds away on the ridge
02 - Setup REM700 7.62(20) on tripod just to the right of the ruger yute
03 - Aim reticle of patrol on yute at center of mineral feeder at 415yds.
04 - With PVS-14 on rear of Mk5 scope, aim center of 7.62(20) reticle at the mineral feeder.
05 - Turn on the radius aiming laser.
06 - Adjust the radius aiming laser so it is pointed at the mineral feeder, use helmet mounted 14 to get into the ball park.
07 - Keep checking the Patrol to make sure the center of the thermal reticle is aimed at the center of the mineral feeder.
08 - Fine tune the Radius on the Patrol by checking on the 7.62(20) with the 14 behind.
09 - Once the Radius on the Patrol is zeroed, test several known distance targets. Aim the patrol thermal reticle at the target and check the range. Repeat steps 07, 08 and 09 if needed

Armasight used to make one (discontinued even longer than the radius) for $2,400 ... and you might be able to find one for under $2,000 ... but they are far more rare than the radius.

Newcon Optik makes one for around $3k and the RAPTAR ES street price is $3k.

As to use with the Mk3 60mm ... it can be done ... here's my current setup.

02 - Setup 7.62(22) on Manfrotto tripod just to the right of the 5.56(10.3)
03 - Aim reticle of mk3 60mm on 5.56(10.3) at center of mineral feeder at 415yds.
04 - With PVS-14 on rear of NF scope, aim center of 7.62(22) reticle at the mineral feeder.
05 - Turn on the radius aiming laser.
06 - Adjust the radius aiming laser so it is pointed at the mineral feeder, use helmet mounted 14 to get into the ball park.
07 - Keep checking the 5.56(10.3) to make sure the center of the thermal reticle is aimed at the center of the mineral feeder.

Interesting setup you got and looks good.
Hmmm i guess only option under $1500 is Radius.
 
You can probably get at least 2 radiae for under $1,500 and have a spare on the shelf :)

I've seen them for everything from $400 to $750 in the past month.

But make sure you see close up pics of the lenses on the front and pics of the display with the unit on, to provide evidence that the unit works. There has been one case of a unit sold on the hide that I know of with a issue on one of the lenses.

Thank you ? now i have to find one in decent condition. That will be challenging probably
 
I really don't think so. Post a WTB in the PX Optics sub-forum and maybe also in the PX accessories subforum. We usually think of LRF as "optics" ... but I suppose it is debate able. And search for "Radius" in the titles of threads in both subforms (two separate searches).
I posted in one of the threads recently and got 3 people PMing me to sell within a few days.
