Any bolt gun suppressed is more quiet then a gas gun..... most of that noise comes from the semi's action opening and closing rapidly.

AAC apparently is offering a "Ranger 3" this year. It might be worth getting the new model. The old unit is a 3 baffle unit, and the new model should be a 7 baffle unit (they are claiming M4-2000 baffle system has been integrated).

I agree, the Ranger should sound good on a bolt gun compared to a gas gun. And if you want a Ranger, you should definitely wait for the Ranger 3 since it is basically a screw-on M4-2000 for half the price.

Almost...the blast baffle is inconel and the rest of the stack is stainless. I like the design of the Ranger III. I can't wait to see how it performs.

I asked this question on silencertalk, both Mers and Rob Silvers say the stack is all-inconel.

I asked this question on silencertalk, both Mers and Rob Silvers say the stack is all-inconel.

the new Ranger 3 is going to be a STEAL. it's all inconel baffles but not as quiet as an M4-2000 due to it being shorter. but for a screw on that is 1/2 the price of an M4-2000, i'd buy two.
