Gentlemen: I have a leupold VXHD 3x18x44 SFP I want to use for long range shooting out to 1,100 yards. What power setiingshould I be using for accurate ranging?

Owners manual will tell you the correct power range. However leupold is usually max power for correct sub-tension.
Do you’re self a favor, and just use a laser ranger finder. Especially at that distance.

You can use any power as long as the math is correct. The manual will tell you which power setting requires no math.
As already mentioned, use caution with reticle ranging. It isn’t as straightforward as it seems. Also, past 600 or so, it really goes down hill.
