Rifle Scopes ranging with mil?

Haven't seen this anywhere. Maybe Lindy will chime in.

Is there a way to range with the width of a target and mil hash marks instead of target height?

i would think it would be the same way, as long as you know the approximate width of your target, then again im no expert so maybe someone will prove me wrong..

Exact same math as height....

width (in.) x 27.77 / mils read for width = yards to target

or

height (in.) x 27.77 / mils read for height = yards to target

Okay I feel stupid as all hell. wasn't doing something right cause the math was not coming out right. Did a couple more problems (practicing my math) and it works. Flame away
