Rare fail for Trump

In a written statement, McCain praised Kavanaugh late Monday, saying Trump selected a jurist with "impeccable credentials and a strong record of upholding the Constitution." McCain described Kavanaugh as a "fair, independent, and mainstream judge" respected among his peers.

If that treasonous piece of shit likes him, he must be pretty bad.

This fucktard is another John Roberts, just when he is needed he joins the other side, a fellow traveller to the core. Betrayed teh Constitution and brioke his oath.

Jerry,

I do generally agree with 90+% of what you say but don’t get this one.

You seem to be wrapped around the axle about his Ivy roots.

Are you telling me that at your position in life, you discriminate against ivy grads without an interview?

well thats not my sole position, but one of many, I dont call it discriminating , I call it applying a bell curve to compensate for their self promotion incest and and insidious attacks against the Constitution as a group. Their track record over the past 100 years has put our freedom in peril. I am more concerned with his logic in the rulings he seems to have taken, and I am very concerned he has worked for Bush, Kagan and Kennedy, he has been indoctrinated at every point in his life by some very dangerous and bad people, who all happen to be fellow Ivy Leaguers themselves, they are a nepotistic tribe that has outlived their usefulness.. Not to be trusted with the car keys let alone the law of the land.

This was a fail pick by Trump, even the never Trumpers are liking this pick, they didn't like Gorsuch, but they like this guy. I am right on this one. Unfortunately you will all see what I am saying when he start voting with RBG and the other Communist cunts to gain favor.

Jerry I hope you're wrong. I do understand what you're saying about the ivy leagues though. In academia the ivys tend to hire from other ivys. An institution i was at interviewed a candidate from harvard. He was so full of himself. In his job talk he got destroyed on his research design and refused to believe there was a problem and started name dropping in his counter argument. Probably ended up at another ivy.

I don't see the attack on the constitution coming from him, and I think his time with the 3 people mentioned shields him from far left attacks, although I don't agree with Bush as being one of the three. That's me.

I think gun controll shitheds are scared of him.
Local news led off with that tonight.

Has anybody found any ruling he has made that raises a red flag for 2a?

He has worked for some asshole in the past, no shit, most jobs I had were for assholes.
Held one job for 34 years, last 20 of were for complete assholes, liberal scum and worse.

Your point, or lack of it is?
Did you think Trump can pick one from the local gun shop and walk him through conformation.

Dear Second Amendment Supporters,
In the 2016 elections, NRA members and Second Amendment supporters across America made clear that the makeup of the U.S. Supreme Court was an issue of critical importance. Your work and support for President Trump have resulted in the nomination of a second outstanding justice to the court. On Monday, President Trump once again delivered on his promise of nominating constitutionally sound Supreme Court justices. You should be proud of your successful defense and protection of the future of our Second Amendment freedoms.
During his tenure on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, Judge Brett Kavanaugh wrote a strong dissenting opinion in opposition to Washington, D.C.’s ban on commonly owned semi-automatic firearms and registration requirement by applying a historical test consistent with Justice Antonin Scalia’s majority opinion in the Heller decision.
The narrow 5-4 majority that recognized a fundamental, individual right to self-defense in the landmark Heller and McDonald decisions will be secured with Kavanaugh's confirmation. The NRA’s six million members and tens of millions of supporters who voted for President Trump have ensured that the framers’ vision of constitutional freedom will have a strong voice on the court for decades to come.
Chris Cox, executive director of NRA's Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA), along with the entire ILA team stand ready to fight for the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh, but we need your help.
"NRA-ILA will activate the tens of millions of Second Amendment supporters throughout the country in support of Judge Kavanaugh," said Cox. "Securing his confirmation begins with the NRA's six-million members. We need your help in the coming days to ensure your U.S. senators vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh. Freedom depends on you."
This is a great opportunity in American history to protect our constitutional freedoms for generations.
Yours in Freedom,
Wayne LaPierre
NRA Executive Vice President
