What is the major diffrence between the two? why is the AMG more money when it seems to have less benefits? magnification, obj diameter? tube diameter ? field of view?

Lighter, more magnification and used they are pretty much the same cost.

99% made in USA. The Gen2 is made overseas then reassembled & QC'd here in the USA.
48ozs vs 28ozs is a BIG difference in weight while all the optical advantages the G2R didn't make up for the weight and size.

AMG- Made in USA, lighter weight, slightly smaller overall size, color, different reticles, and no second rev indicator. The differences are obvious. I don’t see it as having less benefits as much as I see an optic that is appealing to a certain side of the market just the same as the Gen 2 is appealing to a different side. They both have their place but both can be used interchangeably to a degree.

AMG for lighter rigs/hunting guns and razor for heavier rigs. Both are awesome optics and can be had sub $1800 if u go used.
