Gunsmithing re-enforcing the remington PSS

Is there a way to re-enforce the PSS stock for it to handle the application of flush cups. Is it the forearm or butt (or both) that has the problem?

You can reinforce both. Drill a 1 inch hole where you want the base. Watch out if you are doing the barrel channel so you don't go into it. Dremel out a wide section after going through the shell. Slightly overfill the whole hole and recess with Marine Tex or Devcon Steel. Smooth off when stiff. Cover and smooth with a piece of plastic bag to get nice surface. When set up hard...over night...drill out the base size and seat the base in with the same epoxy.
