Re-finished my rifle, woot!

back about a month ago, i had sent my stock to a guy to get it hydro-dipped in reaper camo. the job was supposed to take 4 days, but ended up taking 3 weeks. i got the call yesterday to come pick up my stock. when i got there the guy wasnt there and my stock was waiting for me.

as soon as i got close enough to see my stock i already knew he did a crappy job. once i picked the stock up and looked at it, i realized just how horrible it was. i have never seen work of that poor quality. so basically, i got ripped and ill make sure he never gets a dime from anyone i know.

as soon as i got back to my shop, i grabbed sandpaper and went to stripping my stock back bare. i primed it, sanded, primed, sanded, and i even primed and sanded it. then i got some flat O.D. green and went to town.

i think it came out good. its simple, which works fine for me.

i aint takin pictures of the hydro job, im ashamed to say i even paid for it (ahead of time).

If it looked that horrible I am surprised that they even let you come and get it without trying to fix the problem, or at least talk to you about it. Just another great example of a company with bad customer service, that will never see a dime from me.

Hate to say it- but without pictures no one knows what you are talking about --and how bad it was. You should not be ashamed, the person that did it should be. Quite honestly I would take a lot of pictures and post them up so that it speaks louder than words.

I think you missed the boat on this one ... but good luck to you.

he did try to fix it.... there were 3 layers of image on it....

Sorry for the bad customer 'no-service' you received. It appears you fixed the problem now, and I think your set-up looks good.

I would of demanded some to speak to the owner / operator and attempt to resolve the situation through some type of deal. Also you def should have taken post-pics in order of proof of quality of work etc.

You are the customer, if you were not happy you should have waited till he came back to the shop and discussed it with him. The positive thing is your stock looks good now.

i havent been able to accurately communicate with him. i wanted to get my stock back while i had the chance. everytime i talked to him he was always talking about how bad he wanted it.......
