So I took the Reactor Fusion module out for the first time. Now, I'll start by saying, I'm not using the hud as an angle indicator. My intent is to use the data, post range trip, to identify and correct bad habits. It worked very well for it's intended purpose.

When powering the device on, you must connect via bluetooth, select a rifle and a an ammo profile. Then, you will calibrate the module by moving it around on all axis. This can be a bit annoying, the device will time out after a period with no motion. So if you plan to use this through a competition you will be calibrating before each stage.

The data recorded was accurate and useful, it showed I have a tendency to lean into my strong side a bit. I picked up all my shots accurately and functioned appropriately.

As far as it's construction, the module is compact. The button is firm, yet tactile and as far as mother nature is concerned, water resistant (may have got rained out). The module was mounted on the left side of my Grayboe ridgeback stock. The arca rails and mount did not fit well, the mount was a bit proud and needed taken down a bit to fit snug. Some 80grit sand paper and block aided in a perfect fit.

Reactor USA as a company has been very helpful and accommodating. When I purchase items from a company for the first time, I request they draw me a picture in the notes. Reactor went one step further and made the header of my app, my teams logo. While I was awaiting my hardware, they informed me production cost was less than expected and refunded me a portion of the cost. All of these communications were not just a "do not reply" email blast, but personal communications from their staff.

All in all I'm very satisfied with the Fusion Module and look forward to continued use.

update: the awesome folks at Reactor USA reached out and offered to send me the newest version of the Fusion module. They reworked the software and added some features. they asked if i would do an unboxing video and give some feedback. I figure the Hide is the best place to continue putting this information out.

I'm no Youtuber or anything so grain of salt please.

i ran the module on a few stages at GTI, this stage had really odd positioning and i liked it as an example for the new muzzle rise feature. I don't use this as a HUD for a level etc., I utilize this as a diagnostic tool after the fact. Most of the shots looked similar to #4 and #8, #11 and #12 being a more managed recoil impulse, #4 is me coming off the target high and #8 is me driving the gun forward and down. This stage was on the 8th floor at GTI and the shooting position was not ideal, add my lack of skill and voila, we have results!

I am going to try and build some good data for comparison with this unit. I believe it has a huge training value if you can compile a database for comparison. One thing I think would be interesting would be the ability to overlay the muzzle rise profiles to find a common baseline rather than swiping back and forth. Possibly overlay them all with a common start point and color each kinetic profile separately.

The staff at Reactor USA has been awesome to deal with. It has probably been my best customer service experience in any industry. If you are interested in this product, I would not hesitate to jump in.

Shortly after posting, Reactor got in touch and it turns out my wish has been granted. Screen shots below, plenty of overlaid data!

This information can be found at pro.reactorusa.com, your shot data is sync'd to a database and you can overlay up to 10 shots for comparison. Anthony said this has not been announced yet, so shhhhh.
