Re: Really. $2500 for an basic AR
3 weeks before Sandy Hook, I put two ARs up for sale via local classifieds, plus state rifle & pistol assoc. newsletters for area states, etc.
White Oak Armament Service Rifle A2 upper, RRA lower, tuned trigger, all the 'under the hood' goodies... upper alone cost $680 new. Asked $650
Other one is a White Oak Armament Match Rifle space gun upper with sights, Mega lower, Geiselle trigger, CSS match stock, etc. for $1150 w/ sights, $850 w/o.
Got two 'nibbles' on the SR... all the way over in Montana. Thats it.
Then after Sandy Hook I decided... 'these may not be replaceable, maybe I better hang onto them'. Prices were originally low because I wanted to 'pass them on' to someone getting started in HP - either one is a fuck of a lot better rifle than most of the 'fancy' tac guns I see flying off the shelf in stores.
Four days later... finally got one "I'll take it" email on the SR... had to tell 'em they waited too long
Now I see the prices and start wondering about parting out the MR after all...
