Very basic question - but how much of an effect on accuracy does reamer design really have?

The reason why I am asking, is that I am about to build a .300NM. My builder has a .300NM designed to "his specs" for using the 215 grain Bergers. I am planning on using the 230 grain Bergers (already own 1,000 of them).

Would I really be losing out on anything by using a reamer spec'ed around the 215's? Should I consider a different reamer? Any other considerations I need to be aware of?

I've never spec'ed a reamer for a rifle builder before, so I'm sure this is very basic to some. Appreciate the help.

Ask him for a reamer print so you will know what his specs are.

I have a never used PTG reamer that was made to my specs for Berger 230 gr bullets. Mine is a standard CIP reamer with the freebore changed to .180". I would sell this reamer if you have any interest in it.
