Just started working with my new REAP-IR sight and having issues with my stock length and ability to comfortably get my eye on the rubber eye cover of the REAP. AR-15 platform - Magpul PRS stock with DDM4 upper. At it's most rearward setting on the pic rail, I'm still 2-3 inches from contact and opening up the protective petal inside the eye guard. It only works if I run the butt plate adjustment all the way in, but that messes up my gun fit. Also confirmed on a collapsible stock on another AR-15.

Any ideas on I can get the scope more rearward, or am I missing something in the setup process?

Yankee hill makes a riser that will raise the height up a bit and can cantilever rearward another inch or so, may work for your application.

And lose the eyecup and replace with SNB filter

On a "stoner" (ar-15 ish platform) I mount the mk3 60mm as far back as it will go. That puts my nose on the charging handle with the stock one notch to the rear from completely collapsed.
So, either shorten your stock or use a reverse riser.

Even with the filter (and I use filters also) a butler creek flip cap is also nice to completely cover the rear lens, both for protection and to reduce vis light emitted from there when the unit is on, but u are not looking thru it.
