Night Vision Reap-IR type 1 RMR mount

New to the forums and thermal optics in general. This site has been a tremendous resource so far and just wanted to say thanks for sharing so much valuable information!

With that being said, wanting to buy a Trijicon Reap-IR 35. If I go with a type 1, what’s the best/easiest way to mount an RMR to the dovetail? I know type 2 has a pic rail, but hesitant about the lack of external battery support
