I sometimes feel like I live in a different country now, and I wonder if this is what one of those countries with irreconcilable differences feel like right before they collapse and redraw the borders.

I tell my mother it feels like I need a passport to visit half the states now, for one reason or another. And shit like licenses, permits and prescriptions aren't valid, the laws are completely different and there's a fucking ton of 'em, so what's the difference already? There's less hassle and difference between many countries FFS.
