Gunsmithing rebarreling a 760 remington

Re: rebarreling a 760 remington

Actually not too bad. There is a smith in Plains Montana that did mine some years back and it turned out well IMO. Dan Lilja pointed me in his direction.

I want to rebarrel mine too, the bore on mine is way past due. The best it will do now is about 6MOA on a good day, used to be great at just barely maybe 3 or 4MOA. When I got it the barrel was pitted really bad with rust, soaking it in cleaning chemicals removed the rust and copper and maybe some of the bore too... This besides having had a couple thousand 270 rounds shot through it because I shoot it the way most people would shoot an AR. It's a really fun gun, I'd really like get it inside of 1MOA.

Do you have the smith's name?
