I am interested in rebarreling a Tikka T3 lightweight stainless 223 to 300blk. I have never built a Bolt gun but have build FAL's AK's, and AR's so I do have some experience. I do have a solid barrel vice.
From what I have read so far a Remington 700 action wrench will work on a Tikka receiver, can anyone confirm or deny this?

Are there any pitfalls in rebarreling a Tikka? I have also read that the barrels tend to be stuck on Extremely well, someone actually said that there is galling between the threads of the receiver and the barrel.

Any advice?

Re: rebarreling a Tikka T3

I've had to cut off every Tikka barrel I've taken off.

I would suggest two vices actually, and of course you need heat to melt the glue stuff they put in there.

You can use the Rem action wrench if you flip the one side around and put the flat part against the flat on top of the T3 receiver.
Good luck,
Justin
