Gunsmithing Rebarrelling a Barrett M99

You will have to send you rifle to Barrett to get it rebarrelled, that’s what I did with mine.

Thats not true. There have been several competent smiths that re barreled them. My suggestion is to contact a few of the well know smiths that post on this forum and ask if they can handle it.

I know that GAP and Chad Dixon (which is LongRifles I think) have both built a few 50's.

That is good to know, next time I know where to send my rifle to have it rebarrelled.

No problem. All it will take is some looking to see who will do it.

There was a guy locally here who set a record that stood for a long time with a re barreled M99. His name was Skip Talbot and is very well known in the 50 cal world.
