We bought some savage 12FV's, and need some one piece rails for them. We got a EGW 41000, but the 6-48 screw holes arent centered over the threaded rec holes. So, we hoping for some suggestions on some rails (probabaly alum), that are very low profile, as I dont see a need for being any higher than needed.
One that we have in mind, is a Warne #7666, which I've been told is .312" from top of picatinny bars to underside of highest center point of radius (as the receiver is round top). Any suggestions, or questions, would be appreciated, as we are begginers, and would rather buy/pay once. thanks
We havent decided on rings yet, and would be all ears for that, as we are using a 12 power swfa ss.

I use Weaver 20 moa rails on my Savage rifles. They have a recoil lug to hold them from moving forward.

With a factory receiver I would bed the rail to keep it straight. It is a bit extreme and somewhat permanent, but I glued all the rails to my Savages with devcon. If I ever feel the need to remove one, a heat gun will do the job, but I doubt I'm going to mess with them.

Seekins rings will do well for not a ton of money. Rings are really the one area where you don't want to skimp.
