Here is this weeks work off my bench.
A refinished Colt Detective a Special. Had been a carry gun and was very pitted around the muzzle and barrel. Worked the pits out and Cerakoted it Blue Titanium and Titanium.

The AR is a custom build on Aero Precision upper and lower, White Oak Squad Designated Marksman 20" barrel and a CMC 3.5 pound flat trigger. GPI Bolt carrier group Cerakoted with Mico Slick (dry film lubricant ) and the rifle finished in MagPul Foliage Greed and OD Green.

The 870 was a hard use police carry gun. Refinished with Cerakote in Gun Metal and Tungsten. Topped with XS Sights big dot ghost ring and a recoil reducing stock.

What level of dissassemby before blasting/spraying the Smith? I have a Chiefs special I'd like to clean up and spray but have never dealt with takng off the sideplate.

This was my first revolver and was a bit worried about it. As you know clearances in a revolver are very tight.

On this one I comply disassembled it and lightly blasted everything EXCEPT internal parts.
After coating and during assembly I had to fit the yoke, cylinder catch and ejection assembly with 1500 grit paper and oil. It obviously doesn't take much just a twist or two lightly. I coat a lot of 1911s and with any close tolerance pistols I always have to fit gram and slide, slide stop and a couple other parts. So a little fitting never surprises me when you are adding a 1/2 thousand to surfaces ... It all starts to add up.

The internal parts went in and worked and slid like glass on the Cerakote and the pins. What I may do it take it back apart and coat the internals with Cerakote Micro Slick - their dry film lubricant.
