Here are some pics of a recent job. This kitchen is in cherry with shaker style doors and drawer fronts. The drawer boxes are solid wood, fully dovetailed with soft close slides and also soft close hinges. The cost was roughly $5,500, and the client installed them himself. Interestingly, he bid us out against Lowes and we came in $500 less.

Tim--beautiful work!!

I just bought a condo on the lake here northwest of Denver, and if you're willing to travel, I'll keep you in mind for a redux of my retro 80's kitchen!!

That is right nice. I told Panty 6 there is no way we will have that stinking microwave over the stove. Those things were made for effeciancy appartments and have no business in a kitchen where any rightious cook is cooking killer food...can't stand the things blowing the same air they take off the stove back into the house

We work in Denver and points north all the time. I'd be happy to look at your job when the time comes.

Right?

Re: Recent kitchen remodel

Very nice cabs, and very nice price. Personally I would have torn out the soffit and installed 42 inch cabs. That and ditch the granite backsplash for mosaic tiles. It also could use a different color; its kinda bland.

Re: Recent kitchen remodel

Tim,
I have a friend of mine who installs carpet for Lowe's. He was telling me he never made so much money doing carpet until he got in with Lowe's. Most people dont realize the cost of the big box stores. Our local electrical supply house can beat the pricing at Lowe's and Home Deopt by a wide margin on everthing but 14/2 Romex. Yea the 2x4"s are cheap but everything else is more expensive. If people would shop around they would find out how much they really pay to shop there. When the Wife and I remodled the exterior of our home we used a lumber yard an hour from our home. We got better material and better prices, anytime I needed something extra they delivered it quickly. No driving for me to pick it up. One other thing they( big box stores) do is shut down every lumber yard in the area. We used to have 6 within a 30 min. drive. All of them are closed now.
As a painter for the last 28 years I will say that is one fine looking kitchen. Job well done.

STN, I like the full vented hoods over my stuff so I can see what I am cooking without banging my head on a POS microwave that is blowing stuff into my face when I am cooking..
That nuke is the first thing gone when we rebuild our kitchen. Th eother issue with them is when there are 'two cooks' in the house trying to do the cooking and banging into one another...anyone have an extra $35k - $40k lying around to hand me for my rebuild? I don't dream big, I dream huge!
