hey i have a shotgun tourny in 2 weeks i just had surgery and the 12 ga is tearing me up i could use some help anybody know of some really good slip on recoil pads or a shirt ive never used one do the shirts help? thanks for the help

Re: recoil padding

I really like Limbsavers too get a 1" thick pad really cuts recoil down the other thing is you can get a sissy pad I don't know what their really called but you can wear it under a shirt so nobody can tell another help is to strap your shoulder up to stop it flopping around it helped me wen I did my shoulder only problem is apart from tapeing your shoulder all recoil aids will increase length of pull which will make it handle differently

Re: recoil padding

Past makes a couple of different strap-on recoil pads that work pretty well. Probably find them at Midway or Brownells. I use one when bench firing a light rifle, really helps. Good luck.

Re: recoil padding

hey i bought a limbsaver slip on. WOW i shot a box with no pain thank you guys!!!!!! also i can not use lighter loads they must be a certain spec. thank you for the help hopefully i can beat my last years 3rd place!!!!

Re: recoil padding

take off your recoil pad and fill the stockhole with shot ,leave a little space from the end and pack it with steelwool then put the pad back on .the shot really takes the kick way down ,old trapshooters trick
