Recommendations for complete AR lower assembly

After almost twenty-five years of shooting, I'm planning to take the dive with my first AR. I've been reading and researching and have narrowed the complete rifle list to the following: LWRC REPR, SCAR 17S, HKMR762A1, LaRue Tactical PredatAR in 7.62 and Noveske Light Recce, LWRC, HK in the 5.56.

While exploring the 5.56 market of AR's I was looking at the HKMR556A1 upper as another option ... <span style="font-weight: bold">Which brings me to the question, if you guys {experienced builders} were to add a complete lower to the HKMR556A1 upper, what would be your ideal choice?????</span>

I recently shot a friends 556A1 and loved the balance but wasn't too thrilled about the buttstock or the grip. Also, I'm not experienced enough, nor do I have any desire to buildup a stripped lower so a complete lower would be ideal.

I'd take a hard look a Seekins Percision.... Glen is a standout guy that offers a superb piece of equipment. His builds are unique and they are gaining a lot of ground in the AR market.

I'd opt for a complete gun. If only going for a lower, I'd check out LMT's complete lower.

This. I believe Riflegear has some LMT lowers in stock - may be in stock other places also. One advantage of a LMT complete lower is that it comes with a LMT lower parts kit installed, which are very highly regarded.

The advice to go for a complete rifle is worth a second thought as well. Can't go wrong with any of the offerings from Daniel Defense, LMT, BCM, Noveske, or Colt. There are others also, but those are a good place to start looking for a quality AR-style rifle.

With HQ AR's running in the 3K+ range, I was just exploring options and or ways to shave a few bucks and still end up with what I want ... a quality AR.

Although @the range today I did get a chance to shoot both a GI and a short piston AR and I would definitely go with a piston.

Which narrows the field quite a bit .....

The Seekins billet lower is as good as it gets, absolute Home Run for Glen and his team.

If money is no issue, sure go out and drop $2-$3k on a complete rifle.... I would if I could. I built my AR from scratch, the lower assembly kit, lower, upper, barrel, handguard, stock and tube, all a little at a time.

Black rain ordnance makes an excellent lower to build from. The seekins is bad ass and that one will be my next build. And yes, building it was less expensive with all the upgrades that a stock AR, plus you get the learning experience that I wouldn't trade for anything.

+2 on the black rain lower. Im really happy with the amazing machining, and tight tolerances.

LMT. I was choosing which lower I am going to sbr so I checked the fit to my uppers. The lmt fit nice and tight on every upper I own(5).
