Have a Savage 12 FV in .223 that I am looking to put inexpensive gridded reticle on. Planning on taking out to 700-800 yards. Specs are

Variable FFP
Around 4-6x on low end and 18-24x on high end
Prefer Milliradian
Parallax adjustment
Not concerned about reliability of turrets. Planning on holds for everything.
No particular gridded reticle in mind. Have used GAP G3 and H59. Liked both.

Midway USA has an Athlon Argos BTR 6-24x with APMR FFP IR MIL reticle for $270. Pretty much fits the bill but seeing what other recommendations the community might have.

In the price range you have mentioned the Arken is the way to go. Super clear and as close to perfect tracking with a lifetime warranty. They say the new reticals are better in them. The only issue I ever had was the center dot of the reticals was small and hard to see but that is supposed to be fixed in the new generation scopes.

Are the arkens in stock anywhere? I thought it was going to be my next purchase until I tried to find one in stock
