Hi all, interested in exploring a new holster for my S&W M&P 40 with a Streamlight TL1. I currently have a Raven Concealment that I like well but am thinking I want something with a more positive retention system as I wear it when camping with the family. I see Safariland offers an option in their 7TS line, but it is almost $140 and before I drop that much I thought I would get additional input.

Anything from Safariland with the ALS system is the best retention you will find. If that’s what your looking for you will not be disappointed. There is a reason almost everyone runs them for their duty holsters.

Downside is their cost and they are very bulky, but I love mine for hunting and camping.

I have been very impressed with everything I have purchased from Long's Shadow Holster. I have 2 in hand and waiting on their San Luis Sidecar holster to land. Their Crestone L2 might be right up your alley. Comes with a Bladetech L2 retention system as well as L1 friction retention. They offer it for the S&W M&P 4.25" and 5" with the Streamlight TLR-1.
