wanted some recommendations on a trigger for an build I am going to start on soon. Building an AR-10 in 260 remmington, wanting to make it a persision type set up.

does jewel make an AR-10 trigger?

I have Timney Competition triggers in both my DPMS LR308 and POF and love them.

The AR Gold modular triggers are working out great. Incredibly fast reset. Easy to install. Very popular with the 3 gun shooters. Have one in a .223 AR. The .308 triggers are available. Very slight take up and then crisp break.

    +1

If you decide on a 2-stage and cost isn't an issue my pick is Geissele DMR. Best bang for the buck 2-stage pick is the Rock River NM.

Does anyone know of a AR10/AR15 trigger with a ribbed face like the factory 700 trigger?

I am just not a fan of smooth triggers on precision rifles. I can shoot them just fine, but I prefer the ribs. It's for "her" pleasure you know?

I have a 2-stage "tactial" in my AR10 lower now. I will probably stay with a two stage. I don't like crisp, light and short singles in a semi-auto gun. Two much of a chance of doubling due to recoil. the Geissele shows promise if I have to stay with the smooth trigger.

I don't believe jewel's trigger will work with the AR-10. If you want a 2 stage, go with a Geissele. You won't regret this. The Timney is nice for a single stage and so is the JP. I'm not sure about JP's reliability in AR-10's, but I have one in a .223 AR with over 15K rounds on it and no issues. If you aren't worried about fast follow up shots, the Williams set trigger is great for a light single stage pull. However, if you do not use it in "set" mode, the pull is worse than the factory trigger.

Best bet is to send your receiver to JP and have them install the trigger. I've had them do 3 and never had a problem. Each one felt the same as the next. Having them put it in ensures it is done right. About a 1 week turn around.

RRA match in my AR10A2 is excellent. Not sure if they're still available and I've seen them bad mouthed on here before but the McCormick drop in two stage flat trigger I have on my AR10T is outstanding and has been 100% reliable.
