I'm going for overall fitness in my development, but I do want some good strength gains along side cardiovascular endurance / fitness. I just finished up P90X and have rolled back into a gym as the P90X began to feel too much like a routine. I follow my workout with a three to four mile run and THEN take my protein, a banana, some almonds, and Cellmass directly afterwards. Am I doing myself a disservice by running before taking my post workout supps? Problem I find is that if I take them after the lifts, then I feel too bloated to run. I don't want to miss that magic window either for recovery, and perhaps by running my body hasn't turned into recovery mode. Any experts care to chime in on this?

Re: Recovery Supp Timing

I don't see a problem with that as long as your hydrated and your electrolytes are replenished. Three to four miles is not an issue.

exactly , wat till after your run to have your "post workout" supps

if your concerned then add 15g BCAA's to water and sip it through your workout , that will prevent you from getting catobolic during extended cardio.

But unless your taking insulin during your weight workout then your post workout shake timing is not that important to make a "window"

You would be amazed at how many people try it because it's so easily accessible and all the Internet "bro-ology" being spread , I've seen two guys go hypo in the gym from improper dosing and seen ALL of them get fat from improper eating with it. Unfortunately all retards in question were in highschool or just out of it.

Nobody wants to bust their ass and eat right , they all want it right now and not have to work for it , I just threw that in their just in case

I hear ya. These guys are really playing with fire. I can't understand how truly risking you health to be fit makes any sense

Okay, I'm on track then. Sometimes I push the cardio up to 45 minutes and I didn't want my body to feed on muscles that were just abused, and no, I'm not doing insulin. Cardio is getting more efficient, and lifts are going up so I'll just keep doing my thing. Thanks gents.

Edited to ask: You buying a BCAA powder or something to add to the water? What would you recommend. Sounds like a decent idea. I usually just hit water the whole workout.
