Red dot or win 231 .45acp loads with LRN 255gn bullets.

Used both rd and 231 with 250g cast but from a revolver. Lots of 240g cast from 1911 as well. Would use the 250s but wont feed well with their flatter noses vs the 240 rn one.

Your round nose should be just fine.

Castboolits.gunloads.com will have all you need for anything cast, data etc.

Used fat bullets, 453ish diameter i believe, plain base. No leading at medium loads. Cannot recall charges offhand, but Lyman manual should have what you need as well. I can look later if you need.

I don't know about Red Dot but I load 9mm, .38 SWC mid range and .45 ACP with 231.

Only powder I have ever used for pistol, runs good in a Dillon.

I only shoot for fun though my goals don't concern PF and such.

It's a better match for that round. I think there is a pretty significant belief that, pace JMB, 185-200 class bullets perform best in 45 ACP, both for accuracy and for terminal performance.
