Redding 10x Measure Question

I picked up one of these for a song. It's in great condition but does not have the baffle in the powder reservoir. How critical is that baffle?

Baffle keeps the powder from tamping down. I think you can get one for a few bucks. I’m sure it will help with consistency. Seems like some powders do better than others without it.

OK - Thanks for the info - I'll chase one down. My chargemaster with a much bigger reservoir does not have one so it seemed it may be optional on the smaller Redding reservoir.
