Redding ,308 win neck size die triivia ?

Purchased a great condition Redding .308 Win Neck Size Die.

Attempted use of the die and I don't think its working correctly or I'm not working correctly or some such thing.

After using the die the bullets are just dropping right down in the cartridge.
Where with a FL sizer die this doesn’t occur and that should also be happening with the neck sizer die.

The side of the redding die reads as -
Redding 308 WIN B/NK R2

What can you tell about the die?
Any Pointers

I really don't know from the numbers, but if it's a type-S bushing neck sizing die, then it needs a bushing to properly squeeze the neck back in - lots of info here on what bushings to get.

I have the type-A, and it seems to work well enough for my accuracy demands.

Sounds like you have a neck die. Measure the diameter of the neck area on a loaded round. It could be .339 for example. Then after getting this measurement subtract .002 from this number. This should give you the size bushing you will need. Also it would not be a bad idea to get the next size smaller.
