Redding 338 lapua die

Need your expertise .....

I ordered the Redding Comp. die set for 338 lapua.
The die's are stamped 30/338 Win Mag. Are these the same for the 338 lapua?

When I look up the item # in sinclair, the item is correct as on the box. When I look up the item # for a 338 win mag it is a diffrent #.

Did they screw up, or am I safe to move forward in loading?

I only have the seater die right now but its marked 338 lapua. I would call Redding and see what they say. If its only a neck die then it might be okay.

I bought the set. They all say 338 win mag.

I'm thinking you got the wrong set. You can always check the box part number against Redding's site, if you want to double check.

Like the other guy said, call Redding or Sinclair and get it straightened out.

I am going to do that the first thing tomorow. I did double check the part # against there web site. It has the correct # when I look up redding 338 lapua. That is why I wanted to double check with you experts. I didn't know if they were the same.

My 338 dies all say 338 Lapua on them. Your box might be correct, but your dies may be 338 WM. Definitely call sinclair

Thats why I am confused, even the box says 30/338 win. mag type s. match die set # 38394, when you search that # off the box on there web site it says 338 lapua mag, not win mag..

my Redding type S match # 38594 says 338 Lapua Mag on the box and on the dies... and, when assembled.. the seater die doesn't fit in the box anymore.

think you got the wrong set somehow !

You can always remove the decapping pin and see if it looks as if the 338LM will fit. I'd also be more inclined to believe what was stamped on the die body, than I would some sticker on the box.

The 338LM is also a very longish die.

The case will not fit, I just tried. This really sucks, I just spent 1k on componets to load up for my ar30, now I am postponed another week at least. My trigger finger is twitching. I guess it is back to the .223 and 308 this weekend. F&$#

I hear you man...just get on the phone w/ sinclair tomorrow morning, and they should have the thing straightened out. They ship very fast.

OH, I will be sure to do that. It is that I just went to cabelas and bought 300 rnds of lapua brass, 300 bullets to load up for saturday. Got the scope on last night and all I can do is stair at it on the dining room table. My wife said I might as well put it up. I said look at it though, I cant just put it up. She said damn gun porn. I just laughed. If anything she put a smile on my face. But not like the recoil will.

Then she said before I buy another gun she gets a diamond. Well, I guess she gets one this weekend because I have my eye on another.
