Redding Competition dies, Catgories

Not new to handloading, but new to precision Rifle. I am leaning on the Redding Competition dies for 300 Win Mag. The online catalog has three different "categories": I, II & III. What are the differences for each category; I could not find anything online or in any reloading manual I have.

The rarer the chambering, the higher the series number and the higher the price.
Just an arbitrary sorting of popularity/commonality as far as I have ever known.

OK, however 300 win mag is listed in all 3 categories. Before I drop $280 on a set of dies, I would like to understand what the difference is. Like I said, I cannot find any info from the Redding site, manuals or anything else.

Looking at their table 300 Win Mag is only listed under Category I. Various combinations of Type S full dies, Match sets, Competition sets etc... You would also need to know particular bushing (ordered separately) to use these die sets. Hope this helps.

Tiered pricing according to caliber, not necessarily in order of popularity i.e. 204 ruger and 222 rem are cat 1, while 6 dasher, 338 LM and 300 NM are cat 3

I really like my redding type S match die set. They are worth the money in my opinion. VERY precise micrometer for seating and well made.
